These terms govern your use of DomusOS. They're written to be readable. The plain-English summary in each section is the same legal effect as the legal text — we just wrote it twice so you can choose how to read it.
DomusOS, Inc. is a Delaware corporation. When we say ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘DomusOS’, that's who we mean.
DomusOS, Inc. (“DomusOS,” “we,” “us”) is a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Chicago, IL. By accessing or using the DomusOS service (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”).
You're responsible for your account, including protecting your sign-in credentials and managing who you invite onto your household or office.
You are responsible for safeguarding your authentication credentials (passkey, password, or SSO session) and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to immediately notify DomusOS of any unauthorized use. We use a third-party identity provider; their terms also apply to the authentication flow.
DomusOS is software, not a financial advisor. We aggregate, organize, and analyze data. We do not custody assets, place trades, or give individualized investment advice.
The Service is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. DomusOS is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, custodian, accountant, tax preparer, or attorney. Nothing in the Service constitutes investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information presented in the Service.
Your data is yours. You can export it at any time. We will never sell it or use it to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.
As between you and DomusOS, you retain all right, title, and interest in and to your data. You grant DomusOS a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display your data solely as necessary to provide the Service. DomusOS will not sell your data, share it with third-party advertisers, or use it to train machine-learning models without your prior written consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
When you link a bank or brokerage, your credentials are entered into our aggregation partners — not us. We get a read-only token to fetch balances and transactions.
You may elect to link third-party financial accounts through aggregation partners including Plaid, Inc., MX Technologies, Inc., and Envestnet | Yodlee, Inc. Such linking is governed by the respective partner's terms and privacy policy. DomusOS receives only read-only access tokens; we do not receive or store your account credentials.
If you're on a paid plan, you pay monthly or annually via our payment processor. We renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period.
Subscription fees are billed in advance via our payment processor. Subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current rate unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You may cancel at any time via Settings → Billing, with cancellation effective at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods except as required by applicable law.
Don't use DomusOS to break the law, abuse our infrastructure, or harm other customers. We can suspend accounts that do.
You may not (a) use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation; (b) attempt to circumvent any security measure or rate limit; (c) reverse-engineer the Service; (d) use the Service to send unsolicited communications; or (e) use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm any person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these provisions.
You can leave anytime. We can terminate accounts that breach these terms or for legal reasons. We keep your data available for 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind.
You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate your account upon material breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or as required by law. Upon termination, we will retain your data for 30 days to facilitate reactivation or export, after which it will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
DomusOS is provided ‘as is’. Our liability is capped at what you paid us in the past 12 months. If something goes catastrophically wrong, we want to make it right — but those are the legal limits.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOMUSOS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT WILL DOMUSOS'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO DOMUSOS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
These terms are governed by Delaware law. Disputes go to arbitration in Chicago, IL.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Cook County, Illinois, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address associated with your account at least thirty (30) days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
